Quotes aka Bash.org/QDB clone
Watching movies, reading newspapers or surfing the internet i always find interesting quotes and to remember them, i just save them on a txt file. Sharing them is easy but getting feedback, well, let’s just say that there is no easy way to keep track who and what everyone likes while the quotes are in a text file so, i decided to install something like QDB. Unfortunately i only found 2 scripts. One written in Perl and one in PHP.
I don’t know Perl so, i decided to give a try to the one written in PHP. Well, it didn’t work so i decided to fix it myself. Looking at the code i was impressed but not in a good way. It was a mess of php and html, no way to make it to support short urls unless i modified all the files and more more other things so, i decided to write one myself ![]()

Every time it rains
Why they don’t make ‘em like this anymore?
You can make a difference!

Early one evening a man was walking along a beach when he saw a boy picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. The man asked the boy why he was doing this. The boy explained the starfish would die if left to the morning. The man asked the boy, “What difference will your efforts make when there are thousands of starfish on the beach?” The boy stopped and looked at the starfish he was holding and said, “It will make a difference to this one.”
Is all in the attitude!

Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with me
Pow Wow Images
I uploaded the images from Kahnawake Pow Wow on my gallery.
Unfortunately there are too many of them and i didn’t have time to choose a few and create a slide show.
I’ll be there next year too.
Some of the shots are great. Maybe next time i’ll amke a movie too
Pow Wow
Today i went to Kahnawake for the Pow Wow festival with only one plan: take as many pictures as possible. Guess what … it rained … a lot. I couldn’t even take the camera out from the backpack. I’ll try again tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t rain.
Anyway, if you want to know what is all about, do a google search: Pow Wow
First set!
A little more than one week passed since i bough my D90.
This is the first set of pictures taken with my d90 and upload on internet.
All of them are taken last Sunday in Downtown Montreal.
The older ones are not bad either but i didn’t have time to sort them yet. Hopefully until the end of the week i’ll be able to upload some of them.
All of them can be found in my Gallery and a selection on Flickr.
Now i have a hard task: choose the best image and upload it on the Photoblog

One week
One week passed since i bought my D90.
Impressive camera compared with my old Canon S5 IS.
I’ve read the manual, I’ve read tutorials. I found tools like UFRaw, QTPfsGui, Gimp and i’m learning to use them.
I also learned about Barrel-Pincushion, Perspective Distortion and how to “fix” them with Hugin. Another good tool is: PTLens but unfortunately it doesn’t have a plugin for gimp.
Flickr Nikon D90 group is amazing too!
I didn’t have too much time to take photos and the weather didn’t help either but, today will be a nice day and, more than that, tonight i can shot Fireworks.
Hopefully, in a few days i’ll come here with images taken with D90
