One week
One week passed since i bought my D90.
Impressive camera compared with my old Canon S5 IS.
I’ve read the manual, I’ve read tutorials. I found tools like UFRaw, QTPfsGui, Gimp and i’m learning to use them.
I also learned about Barrel-Pincushion, Perspective Distortion and how to “fix” them with Hugin. Another good tool is: PTLens but unfortunately it doesn’t have a plugin for gimp.
Flickr Nikon D90 group is amazing too!
I didn’t have too much time to take photos and the weather didn’t help either but, today will be a nice day and, more than that, tonight i can shot Fireworks.
Hopefully, in a few days i’ll come here with images taken with D90

just bought one to photo my art, killer camera, but oh my god the distortion of the kit lens!!!!!
shoot a square art piece, and all the sides are sucked into the center like i cannot believe … never saw that before …

This is true.
For Perspective Distortion your only (free) chance is Hugin.
PTLens helps too
For only 25$ you have a visual tool and is easy (easier than Hugin) to fix them. Of course, if you have many pictures will take a lot.
PTLens and also Capture NX2 from Nikon (which is too expensive) have an option to fix Barrel-Pincushion.
What you can do, is to keep the horizon of your image at you eye level.
