Hattrick: round 1
And the first game of the season.
Victory!!! 4-2.
Unfortunately, my best scorer is injured now and the best midfielder out of form.
Anyway, 3 points against a new promoted team might make a difference at the end of the season between staying in V or going back in VI.
Hattrick: new season.
As most of the peoples working in IT, i play games.
Two of them actually.
One of them is Hattrick and i play it from a few years but, last year was special. Last year, last season in fact, i promoted. Now I’m in the 5th division. V.36
and tomorrow, is my first game in V.
Wish me luck.
I will need it.
Sabayon: suspend and dvd
Today i tried to add a new user but users-admin did something wrong and after a reboot nothing worked and i had to reinstall.
After reinstall, Scroll, Tap and DoubleTab worked by default
no idea why first time didn’t work out of the box. Anyway, i found the solution for Suspend. The problem is because of compiz so, before suspend the window manager should be changed to metacity. The second problem, after resume keyboard and touchpad don’t work (you need a usb keyboard/mouse to restart X). Sabayon is using pm-utils so, 3 files are needed.
Sabayon: touchpad scroll and tap fix
Yesterday trying to fix different bugs i found another issue:
My touchpad didn’t work as expected. No “tap“, “doubletap” and no “scrolling“.
After checking blogs and forums trying to find a fix, doing a lot of changes in xorg.conf i decided to check the synaptics manual to find the correct options and values:
cmc@atlantis ~ $ man 4 synaptics
After a few hours of testing different things i came out with a small working tutorial.
Of course, if synaptics is already installed and X is already working, this tutorial should work on any Linux distro.

Sabayon: little success
Not much success yesterday.
I found a nice wallpaper and successfully configured Conky:
- CPU Usage
- Processes
- RAM, Swap, HDD IO
- HDD space
- Wireless
- Battery/AC
- Sabayon world
- Weather
- Gmail
I had a problem with Conky. Every time it was started manually everything was ok but when was started at login time by gnome session was always on top.
The fix: a small wrapper to start Conky after 10 seconds. Read the rest of this entry »
Sabayon: after install
Yesterday i managed to install Sabayon v4-r1 x86-64 and, as i expected, i have a lot of problems.
What worked out of the box?
- Wired network (RTL8111/8168B)
- Accelerated graphics (ATI Radeon HD 3200)
- CPU Scaling (AMD Turion X2 64, RM-70)
