Every time it rains
Why they don’t make ‘em like this anymore?
Why they don’t make ‘em like this anymore?

Early one evening a man was walking along a beach when he saw a boy picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. The man asked the boy why he was doing this. The boy explained the starfish would die if left to the morning. The man asked the boy, “What difference will your efforts make when there are thousands of starfish on the beach?” The boy stopped and looked at the starfish he was holding and said, “It will make a difference to this one.”
Is all in the attitude!

Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with me
At the end of the last week i did some “kamikaze” (software) tests with my Windows and, of course, it went wrong
I lost both Vista and Win7 so, i had to find my Sabayon CD to recover grub again.
As soon as i logged in i saw over 500 updates
but loosing 2 operating systems was not enough
Checking Sabayon website i found a new version, 4.2.
I decided to download the ISO before starting to update 500 packages because i was almost sure something will go wrong.
And it went!

I uploaded the images from Kahnawake Pow Wow on my gallery.
Unfortunately there are too many of them and i didn’t have time to choose a few and create a slide show.
I’ll be there next year too.
Some of the shots are great. Maybe next time i’ll amke a movie too
Today i went to Kahnawake for the Pow Wow festival with only one plan: take as many pictures as possible. Guess what … it rained … a lot. I couldn’t even take the camera out from the backpack. I’ll try again tomorrow. Hopefully it won’t rain.
Anyway, if you want to know what is all about, do a google search: Pow Wow
A little more than one week passed since i bough my D90.
This is the first set of pictures taken with my d90 and upload on internet.
All of them are taken last Sunday in Downtown Montreal.
The older ones are not bad either but i didn’t have time to sort them yet. Hopefully until the end of the week i’ll be able to upload some of them.
All of them can be found in my Gallery and a selection on Flickr.
Now i have a hard task: choose the best image and upload it on the Photoblog

One week passed since i bought my D90.
Impressive camera compared with my old Canon S5 IS.
I’ve read the manual, I’ve read tutorials. I found tools like UFRaw, QTPfsGui, Gimp and i’m learning to use them.
I also learned about Barrel-Pincushion, Perspective Distortion and how to “fix” them with Hugin. Another good tool is: PTLens but unfortunately it doesn’t have a plugin for gimp.
Flickr Nikon D90 group is amazing too!
I didn’t have too much time to take photos and the weather didn’t help either but, today will be a nice day and, more than that, tonight i can shot Fireworks.
Hopefully, in a few days i’ll come here with images taken with D90
